Funeral service for Mrs. Opal Allred Dunston, 93, will be Sunday, December 14, 2014, 2 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home. The Rev. Chuck Worley will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Oxford Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Dunston passed away on Thursday. Survivors include her son, William David Dunston (Pamela), of Athens, Ga.; grandchildren, Meredith Carter (Danny), of Charleston, S.C., Andrew Dunston (Rachel), of Madison, Ga. and Alexander Dunston, of Athens, Ga.; great grandson, Grady Dunston, of Madison, Ga. and a sister, Mrs. Logene Brugge, of Oxford. Mrs. Dunston was a lifelong resident of Oxford and a longtime member of the Oxford First United Methodist Church, the Martha Brooks Sunday School Class and Oxford Quest Club.
