Graveside service for Orbie Lynn Cook, 62, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Rep. Koven Brown will be in charge of the eulogy. Mr. Cook died at his home Feb. 16. Survivors include two sisters, Pam Cook Key (Jerry) and Dorothy Cook; a niece, Jayme Vinson; a nephew, Justin Cook; a great-niece, Baylee Cook and a host of cousins. Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his parents, Audrey (Roszell Cook) Williams and Clarence E. Cook and his grandparents, Orbie M. and Ona (Andrews) Roszell. He was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville and a 1973 graduate of Jacksonville High School. For the past 30 years he supported the JHS Golden Eagles by cheering them on at pep rallies. He was in the Jaycees for 20 years and served as president. He worked at Anniston Army Depot and was of the Baptist faith. He liked to collect Coca-Cola and University of Alabama football memorabilia. He was presented a JHS alumni lifetime spirit award in 2013. Memorials can be made to the Calhoun County Animal Shelter.
