Patricia "Patti" Ann Skilinski Pope, 47, gained her full set of Angel Wings while surrounded by loving family and friends on Monday, June 5, 2017, at 2:39 p.m. After a stoic fight against a rare form of cancer, she is now fully healed and adding even more beauty to the heavens. Patti was born on March 18, 1970, in Anniston, to mother, Mary Ann Clayburn and father, Michael Joseph Skilinski. She attended Wellborn High School Class of 88, where she accumulated a number of lifelong, cherished friends. She worked as the Office Manager for the Talladega County Revenue Department where she was described as a dedicated and loyal employee. Patti was always known for her beautiful smile, her contagious laughter and her carefree approach on life. She enjoyed spending time on the river, listening to music, watching sunsets and stars, spending time with family and friends, and truly living life to the fullest. Patti achieved a number of accomplishments during her lifetime, but her greatest and proudest creation was her daughter, Rikki Ann Pope, born January 26, 1989. Patti is preceded in death by her father, Michael Joseph Skilinski, and "Dad", Jimmy Ray Clayburn. She is survived by her loving mother, Mary Ann Clayburn; beloved sisters, Tammy Roberts, Venessa Thomas (John), Louise Clayburn, Jimmie Lyn Clayburn, Krystal Tyler (David) and Tiffiney Skilinski; brothers, James Goss, Michael Skilinski and Jay Dee Skilinski; beautiful daughter, Rikki Pope (Kellie); dedicated life partner, John McNair; number of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and a uncountable number of best friends. Special thanks to her friends for celebrating her life and for the generosity presented in her time of need. Patti will forever be present in all the beauty that surrounds us - in every color splashed sunset and starlit sky, in every perfect song or joyful burst of laughter, we will remember how she inspired us to live life the way she did. A memorial service in remembrance of Patti Ann Skilinski Pope, will be held on June 10, 2017, at 5 p.m. at Center of Hope in Anniston. Flowers will be accepted by the church between 3:30 and 5 p.m. on Saturday. Miller Funeral Home 256-831-4611
