A celebration of life for Mrs. Patricia "Pat" Johnson, will be Wednesday, October 18th 2017, 1 p.m. at Gray Brown Service Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Merritt officiating. Family requests friends to come as you are, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for visitation prior to the service. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her daughter, Pam Joplin (Terry); son, Greg Johnson; sister, Lynne Kemp (Mark); grand-children, Kelsey Martz (Matt), Kendall Johnson, Robby Joplin (Crystal), Jeremy Angles (Cristine), great-grandchildren, Luke, Eli, and Jude Joplin, Karlie and Carson Martz; daughter-in-law, Beverly Johnson. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, David Johnson; parents, Emmett and Wilma Scott; sister, Shirley Lee, and grandson, Austin Joplin. Pallbearers will be Terry Joplin, Mark Kemp, Matt Martz, Tommy Sheets, Larry Angles, Robby Joplin, and Jeremy Angles. Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandchildren. Mrs. Johnson was very involved in the community and Weaver High school. She retired from the Calhoun County school system. She loved to garden and cook for everyone. She was also a member of the Weaver Congregational Methodist Church. The family would love to thank NHC Assisted Living for making her the "Dancing Queen". A special thank you, to the 9th floor nursing and tech staff of RMC, including Dr. Divalentin for the amazing care given to Mrs. Johnson.
