Patricia Louise Stephenson, 69, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016, due to illness. She born in Piedmont and went to grade school but was not able to get her high school education. She worked in a cotton mill at a very young age. She met the love of her life, Walter Stephenson, September 19, 1964. They got married and moved to Georgia. On July 21, 1967, she gave birth to her only child, Tony Stephenson. She accrued a position at Southern Ice Cream Kroger division and held a position as a production manager and held that position for 33 years before ultimately being placed on disability. She was a hard worker, idolized by many she impacted so many people and influenced many to strive to do their best at whatever they do. She had two grandchildren, Christopher Stephenson and Emily Stephenson. She was a smoker and when her grandson was born she vowed to quit smoking and kept that vow. Patricia Stephenson believed in education so much that in her 50's she successfully completed the Georgia's GED program. She set the standards on you are never too old to learn. Patricia Stephenson was creative, caring, intelligent, strong willed and a phenomenal wife, mother and grandmother. She will truly be missed but never forgotten. The impacts she has made will live on and her memories will never fade. We all love you Granny. Enjoy paradise for one day we all will be reunited.
