Patsy Bowen Morrison, 75, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014. Patsy graduated from Oxford High School and went on to Jacksonville State University and earned a degree in Education and then obtained her Master's Degree in Special Education from the University of Alabama. She taught Special Education at Ensley High School and was a cheerleading sponsor until she retired in 2000. She was predeceased by her parents, the Reverend Lewis P. and Lois D. Bowen. Survivors incude her daughter, Robyn Willingham; son, Chris Morrison; brothers, Sonny Bowen (Joan) and Sam Bowen (Dianne); sister, Deborah Bowen; one grandson, Julian Swinford (Reanna); onegranddaughter, Kimberly Morrison; three greatgrandchildren, Juliana Swinford, Caden Swinford and Ava Brown. A visitation will be held at Charter Funeral Home on February 28, 2014 from 5-6 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Brother Bobby Anderson is officiating. Charter Funeral Home is directing.
