Funeral service for Pauline "Polly" Towne Cupp, 82, will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Gray Brown Service Mortuary with the Rev. Todd Borders officiating. The family will receive friends starting at noon on Sunday. Mrs. Cupp passed away Friday at RMC. Survivors include her children, Debbie Goble (Jerry) and Curtis Cupp (Angie); sister, Emmie Haynes (Norman); sister-in-law, Shirley Towne; grandchildren, Franci Florey (Jerry), Donna Kay (Matthew), Sam Cupp and Max Cupp; great-grandchildren Avery, Raegan, Chayse, Graysen and Sawyer; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Mrs. Cupp is preceded in death by her parents, Edmund and Flossie Towne; sister, Gwennie Reid and brother, Charlie Towne. Mrs. Cupp was a longtime resident of Calhoun County and a graduate of Anniston High School in 1953 "Old School Alumni". She retired from RMC in 1999 after 39 years of service and was a member of Hill Crest Baptist Church. She was self-proclaimed mayor of Alexandria. She was an avid fan of Alabama Football and Atlanta Braves. Special thanks to Gloria, Mark and Renee of Alacare and the family caregiver Janice Treckey, also to Dr. Aremu and Dr. Cabillero.
