Anniston - Graveside services for Mrs. Peggy Lee Coleman McManus, 76, of Anniston, will be Friday, May 24, 2013, at 3:30 p.m. at Liberty Grove Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery in Wedowee with the Rev. Greg Norred officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m. at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs. Mrs. McManus passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center. She is preceded in death by her parents, Col. (Ret) Walter Lee and Oma Coleman; and sisters, Phyllis Ann Coleman and Patsy Sue Coleman. Mrs. McManus was a devoted Army officer's wife and was a member of numerous officer's wives clubs. She had been the director of the Red Cross Auxiliary in Germany and was a member of Gardendale Methodist Church in Birmingham. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Col. (Ret) James T. McManus; sons, James Thomas McManus II and his wife, Gale, and Walter David McManus; grandchildren, Kristen Brooke McManus and James Andrew McManus; and several nieces and nephews.
