Philip Steven Pintar was born on Dec. 21, 1965 in Heidelberg, Germany while his dad served in the U.S. Air Force. He passed away on July 26, 2017. He is survived by his father, Bob Pintar; mother, Jerrie Rayburn Ewing; step-father, Kim Ewing; sister, Britt Pintar Armstrong; niece, Lexi Armstrong; step-sister, Melissa Adams (Mike), Robyn Streetman (Clint); step-brother, Brent Ewing (Mandi); aunts, Jeannie Pintar Hanner and Phyllis Buddenberg; uncle, Sonny Dietz ; eight cousins; his precious dog, Boozer, and bonus family of uncle Francis M. Rayburn III and his eight children. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Virginia Pintar and Frances and Dorothy Rayburn; uncles, Frank Pintar and John N. Pintar. Some things to know and remember about Phil are that he loved his family and friends deeply. He was a caring, protective, hard-working, dependable, stubborn, country boy, intellectual, creative, had a green thumb and was one of a kind. He worked the same job nearly 30 years at Cooper Tool and considered the people there his family, especially Harry Cooper. He was a southern boy who mastered the art of cooking in cast iron skillets on his old pot bellied stove which he loved. He loved to cook and share his food. He was a master gardener, growing beautiful vegetables in both summer and winter gardens and shared this bounty with everyone. He drove the same old 70's green truck for nearly 30 years. He loved that truck. Phil was a rock and roller and attended his last concert with friends just two weeks ago. Phil had many friends, most dating back to his childhood. To his friends, Jeff Cooper, Mike Cofield, Milo Payne and John Snodgrass, thank you for sharing your love and loyalty to our beloved son. Any friends we did not name, thank you also and we know Phil loved you. No service will be held at this time but a celebration of Phil's life will be held at a later date.
