A funeral service for Mrs. Phyllis Elaine Hamner, 70, of Anniston, will be on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 2:00 pm at White Plains Baptist Church with Pastor Eric Snider officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on the same day from noon until service time. Mrs. Hamner passed away on October 12, 2017 at RMC. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Bill Hamner Sr.; daughters, Lindsey (Chuck) Pearson, Courtney (Blake) Darden; sister, Judi Murray; step children, Sarah Morales, Bill Hamner Jr. (Lisa), Sandy Campbell (Steve), Mary Hamner; five grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; nieces, Ashley (Scott) Dorsett, McKenzie Deso (Andy); nephew, Curt Murray, and a host of extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her son, Jamie Russell; granddaughter, Haylie Darden, and parents, George and Ruth Atkisson. Mrs. Hamner was a member and Sunday school teacher at White Plains Baptist Church. She taught AWANAS and was a member of the Cleburne County Jail Ministry Team. Mrs. Hamner was a follower of Christ and a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
