Mr. Ralph Lee Pinson, 85, went to be with the Lord on February 26, 2016 at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center. Mr. Pinson was a native and lifelong resident of Anniston. He is a member of the Alabama Professional Bowlers Hall of Fame and at one time was the only professional bowler in the state of Alabama, having the distinction of bowling eight perfect games. Mr. Pinson was an accomplished pilot, served on the Anniston City Council, and was a co-founder and lead elder of The Christian Center Church in Anniston. He went on to attend seminary in Bradenton, Fla. and was ordained as a minister. He was the president of the Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship International and was the state director for the Washington for Jesus Movement in 1979. He was an entrepreneur and owned several businesses in Anniston including Pinson's Florist, during which time he received several awards for outstanding floral design. He owned The Health Food Corner, which was the first health food store in Anniston, and opened one of the first private-owned computer stores in the area. Mr. Pinson was also a member of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks. Mr. Pinson is preceded in death by his parents, Robert B. Pinson Sr. and Ella Phillips Pinson, and a brother, Robert Pinson Jr. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eva Pinson, of Anniston; a son, Ralph Pinson and his wife, Lora Leigh Pinson, of Anniston, and Lee Pinson and his wife, Malissa Michelle Pinson, of Pelham; two grandsons, Reid Alexander Pinson and Roman Blake Pinson.
