Memorial service for Mr. Ralph Turner will be, May 6, 2017, 2 p.m. at Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witness, located at 1420 Hillyer Robinson Parkway S. Oxford, AL 36203. Ralph Eugene Turner, was born April 26, 1948, to Mr. Jimmy Turner, and his wife, Janie. Mr. Turner was a faithful Witness of Jehovah, and brought his two sons, Jimmy Jr., up in this faith, with Ralph, the younger of the two sons, being baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on April 23, 1963. He was educated in the Anniston City School systems, and graduated in May, 1966 from Cobb High School, Anniston. In order to support his ministry, Ralph worked at The Foundry/Pipe Shop. He was employed later by Norfolk-Southern Railroad before retiring in 2004, after 30 years. His responsibility doubled when, on September 20, 1969, he married his wife of 47 years, Charlotte. She lost her battle with coronary disease on February 18, 2016. Ralph's battles with ill health ended on April 27, 2017. Ralph is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy, his mother, Janie, and his brother, Jimmy Jr. Ralph is survived by his only child, Brandon; nephews, Roderick Turner, and Michael Turner, Herman Tankersley, Phillip Williams, Steven (Patricia) Holmes; nieces, Latamica Turner, Valerie Turner, Karen (Clem) Donnell, Avienetta Turner, Wanica (Stephen) Warren, Stefanie Tankersley, Avril (De'Rick) Terrell, Alesha Williams. He is also survived by 13 loving great-nieces and great-nephews; his brother-in-law, Willie (Sharon) Rogers, sisters-in-law Natalie Tankersley, Brenda (Timothy) Holmes, as well as, a number of cousins, and other relatives and friends.
