Funeral service for Reverend Charles Burney, 63, will be on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Roseline Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael E. Ware officiating. Interment will follow in Simmons Cemetery. The Rev. Burney passed away on February 7, 2016 at Clay County Hospital. The Rev. Burney's remains will arrive at the church two hours prior to his service. Rev. Burney graduated from Lineville High School in 1970. He was ordained at Trinity Center Overcoming Life Ministries in Lineville. Survivors include his wife, Mae H. Burney; daughters, CheRhonda Hernandez, Isis Farrior; son, Jessie Harris Jr.; grandchildren, Jade Gibbons, Checorya Gibbons, Naomi Nelson, Quannell Harris; great-grandchildren, Zyhira Smith, Zayden Smith, Kortnee Woods, Jarlus Drummand; siblings, Horace (Glinda) Burney, Ricky (Zizian) Burney, Mozell Burney Styles, Judy Ann Burney; in-laws, John Harris, Roscoe (Fannie) Harris, Annette Kelly, Eula Smith, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Young and Linnie Appleby Burney; siblings, Willie Young Burney, R.L. Bishop, Alma Burney, Katherine Hardy, Mae Annie Burney. Anniston Funeral Service Rev.
