Mr. Richard Hugh Gillette, 71, passed away on November 12, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Bronxville, New York to Earl Dwight and Mary Elizabeth Gillette on August 28, 1945 but was raised in Lake Katonah, New York. He is survived by his children, Fred Gillette, of Las Vegas, Nev., Mary Wilcox, of Las Vegas, Nev., Gretchen Cabrera, of Killeen, Texas, Amy Gillette, of Kingman, Ariz.; grandchildren, Champagne Gillette, Frederick Gillette, Olivia Wilcox, Austin Cabrera and Joaquina Cabrera; uncle, Frank Gillette, of Pike, New York; companion, Ann Simpson; step-children, Joyce Pollard (John), Amber Starr (Jacob); step-grandchildren, Tiffany Hodges, Cathleen Klensing, DJ Klensing, Kiera Pollard, Naomi Starr and Kairi Starr; several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members. Mr. Gillette served several years proudly in the Air Force where he was a small arms instructor. He worked security for NABI. Mr. Gillette was a gun enthusiast and an excellent marksman. His granddaughter said, "I'm really going to miss him. He was a really nice guy." The family will receive friends tonight, November 14, 2015, from 6 - 7 p.m. with a memorial service starting at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make donations to Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
