Memorial service for Mr. Richard Travis Channell Jr., 48, of Oxford will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2015 at Miller Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Bentley. Mr. Channell died Monday, December 29, 2014 at his residence. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Channell; daughter, Amanda Westbrook (Randy); step-son, Christopher Turner; mother, Valgene Haynes; step-father, Travis Haynes; sister, Rhonda Frazier (Paul); grandchild, Tristian Jackson; two step-sisters, Malisha Ashcraft and Bridgett Brooks. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Travis Channell Sr. Mr. Channell was born in Georgia, but lived most of his life in Oxford. He was a member Parker Memorial Baptist Church of Oxford, served in the United States Army for 13 years and worked 10 Years at North American Bus Industries. He was an avid Harley Davidson rider and a loving husband, son, brother and grandfather. He will be truly missed.
