On September 19, 1954, a candle was lit for Rickey O'Neal Johnson. It burned brightly for 63 years until the Lord called him home on January 3, 2018. He was born in Anniston, but he spent his life traveling as a jack-of-all-trades until he returned home to take care of his family and friends in 2005. He was a creative, loving, and self-sacrificing man who would take in any person who needed help. He was passionate about growing plants and making flowers bloom. He will truly be missed but we know every day is a day closer to seeing him in Heaven. Good-Bye, Mr. Fix-it! His memory will forever be treasured by; his sons, Lil Rick Johnson (Stephanie) and Blake Johnson (Rachel Fisher); his daughter, Sheila Graves (Thomas); grandchildren Caleb, Bella, Samantha, Destiny, Gage, Karleigh, Camryn, Mckenzie, Savannah, Mackenzie, Evelyn; his father and mother, Earl and Margaret Johnson; his three siblings, Jimmy Johnson (Joyce), Anita Glover (Mark Pruitt), Stacie Rayborn; three nieces and five nephews, and countless friends and admirers. There will be a memorial and celebration of his life Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Free Will Baptist Church in Pell City.
