Funeral service for Mrs. Rita Burgess Mange, 86, of Anniston, will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 1st Presbyterian Church of Anniston with the Rev. David Rice officiating. Burial will follow at Edgemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until service time at the church. Mrs. Mange died Saturday evening at Regional Medical Center. Survivors include: daughter, Carol Mange Potter and husband, Jimmy of Anniston, and Doctors Lucy Mange Chartier and husband, Dan of Raleigh NC; son, Gerald Burgess Mange and wife, Jill of Selma; sister, Leola Bibb, grandchildren, Burgess Graham Potter, Lydia Zimmer, Kara Zimmer, Gerald Mange Jr., George Mange and wife, Katherine, Davis Mange and wife, Maggie, and Kate Bishop and husband, Martin; great grandchildren, George Mange Jr., and Oliver Mange; and nephew, Frank Bibb. Mrs. Mange was preceded in death by husband, Garvin E. Mange. Mrs. Mange was a lifelong resident of Anniston, and a member of 1st Presbyterian Church of Anniston. She was a long time member and past president of the pink lady's organization at Stringfellow Hospital. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to 1st Presbyterian Church, or a favorite charity.
