Robert Burns Williams of DeArmanville, aged 90 years and 6 months, died on January 23rd in Oxford, Alabama. He is survived by his former wife and lifetime friend, Nadine Nancy Williams; his children, Robert Williams, Laura Rifkin (husband Michael), Scot Williams (wife Vanessa) and Rachel Moysan (husband Reggie); grandchildren, Jennifer, Robert Jr., Francesca, Benjamin, Julia, Caroline and Elizabeth; great grandchildren, Dylan, Sadie, Dillon, Callum, Talia, Robert III, and Aldon; three brothers, William Williams, Paul Williams and Eugene Williams and several nieces and nephews. Bob was born in Grayson Kentucky in 1924 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in both the North African and Pacific theaters. He was a retired Thoroughbred horse breeder and trainer. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward J. Williams; his mother, Mary Nancy Riley Williams; two sisters, Mary Laura Rhodes and Coralie Hansen; three brothers, John Williams, George Williams and Mitchell Williams. A memorial service will be held in the spring of 2015.
