Funeral service for Robert Dale Gann, 79, will be Friday, January 2, 2015, 11 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church in Clay County. The Rev. Jackie Taylor, the Rev. Charles Stone and the Rev. Pete Haynes will be officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 5 till 8 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home. Mr. Gann passed away on Monday at Regional Medical Center. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Dean Gann; daughter, Delbra Crowson (Fred); sons, Steven Dale Gann (Patricia) and Stanley Keith Gann (Rebecca); daughter, Deanna Borden (Eddy); brothers, Larry Gann (Pam) and Danny Gann; grandchildren, Amanda Humphries (Barry), Elizabeth Morris (Glenn), Adam Crowson, Sharon Letson (Travis), Matthew Gann, Joshua Gann, Brandon Edwards (Nicole), Brett Borden and Jake Borden; great-grandchildren, Grant Humphries, Kinsley Humphries, Brody Morris, Caleb Morris, Zoie Letson, Emma Letson, Bryson Letson and a special great-grandson, Parker Adair. Pallbearers will be Dan Wolf, Tommy Poore, Randy Cadle, Adam Crowson, Glenn Morris, Grant Humphries and Barry Humphries. Mr. Gann was a native of Clay County and was a lifelong resident of Able. He was a deacon and member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He was retired from Anniston Army Depot. He was a US Army Veteran with over 27 years of service.
