Funeral service for Mrs. Rosa Gentry Stacks, 98, will be 1 p.m., Saturday, November 1, 2014, at First Wesleyan Church of Anniston with the Rev. Ron Hardy and the Rev. Charles Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Stacks passed away October 29, 2014 at her residence. Survivors include her daughter, Ruth R. Vaughn; sons, George A. Stacks and Donald A. Stacks; 22 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Stacks is preceded in death by her husband, William Stacks; daughters, Janie Coffee, Clara Ferguson and Elaine S. Vaughn; sons, James Stacks and William Stacks Jr. and her parents, Samuel and Emily Gentry. Pallbearers will be Bobby Coffee, James Vaughn, Andy Fowler, Travis Stacks, Blake Spears, Nathan Fowler and Gary Vaughn. Honorary Pallbearers will be grandsons. Mrs. Stacks was a native of Anniston and a member of First Wesleyan Church of Anniston. She loved to quilt for her grandchildren, was a faithful woman and the rock of her family.
