Mrs Ruby Jane O'Hare Smelcher, 62, of Oxford went to be with the lord on March 21, 2015. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Jane Smelcher Dobbin, of Anniston, Martha Brandy Kay Smelcher, of Oxford; her son, James Floyd (Boochie) Smelcher Jr., of Munford; her mother, Arthur Ruby Haynes Champion, of Oxford; sister, Shirley Bowman; brothers, William Eugene O'Hare, Harry Eugene O'Hare Jr., of Dallas and Jimmy Douglas Champion, of Ohio; grandchildren, Brittney Ladale Alford, Tautiana (Tia) Dobbin Wright, Holly Janee Maye, Christian Jacob Smelcher, Justin Charles Pruett, Karlus Meril Dobbin Jr., Tyler Scott Powell, Eria Michelle Smelcher; great-grandchildren, Kamden Cyrius Alford, Rylie Landon Moore, Ayden Ray Neal, Kinley "Lucy Girl" Wright, Addalyn "NoNo" Wright; a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Smelcher is preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Wrina Alford; father, Harry O'Hare Sr.; brothers, Phillip O'Hare, Buster Ray Champion; a sister Karen Thurman. Mrs. Smelcher was a resident of Calhoun County and a member of the Jehovah Witness. She graduated Anniston High School and was a mother to everyone. Special thanks to Clara Lee Robinson, Vivian Brockman, Kelvin Bam Bam Foster, Denetra Townsend Goode and Tinzie Newkirk for their friendship and care they gave our mother.
