Graveside service for Ruby Williams, 87, will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Anniston Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Winfred Logan officiating and Anniston Memorial Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Williams passed away on Valentine's Day, the "Day of Love", at her home with her family by her side. After a long illness she is finally at peace and without suffering. She is survived by her husband of almost 64 years, Lewis Williams Jr.; her daughter, Patricia Wilkerson (Jim Spencer); grandchildren, Jennifer McWhorter (Melissa Pauley) and John Wilkerson (Candice); great-grandchild, Tristian Schatz; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vella and Joseph Holden; brothers, Gerald Holden (Willie) and George Holden (Wilma); sisters, Inez Vinson (Charlie), Doris Saucier (Leo) and Lena Haynie (Emmett). Mrs. Williams was retired from AT&T in 1982 with 38 years of service. She was a good woman, strong, loving, kind, giving and caring. She was a perfect role model for all her family and loved ones. Thanks to everyone at Gentiva Hospice for their help and support over the last three years. Anniston Memorial Funeral Home 3865 US Hwy 431 N Anniston, Alabama 36206 256.820.0024
