Russell Edgar Brown, 89, died Sunday, November 02, 2014, at his residence. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 06, 2014, at Edwardsville Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Garner and the Rev. Kenneth Howell officiating. Burial will follow in Lower Cane Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be today, November 05, 2014, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include his daughters, Brenda Jo Brown (Jimmy) McKenzie, of Albany, Ga. and Lynda Sue Brown, of Anniston; sons, Thomas Edgar Brown, of Heflin and Keith Allen (Rosemary) Brown, of Ohatchee; sister, Norma Jean (L.V.) Yates, of Heflin; brother, James Everett "Scooter" (Cora Ruth) Brown, of Robbinsville, N.C.; grandchildren, Amie McKenzie (Chan) Cox, Debbie Brown (John) Kelly, Jeff (Shelby) McKenzie, David (Kami) Brown, Josh (Shirley) Brown, Jessica Brown (Jordan) Brewer, Misty Dawn Kilgore, Kenneth Lamar Kilgore and 14-Great Grandchildren. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Mr. Brown was a life long resident of Cleburne County. Russell was a carpenter and owner of Brown Construction Company and a member of Edwardsville Baptist Church.
