Alexandria - Ruth Bellerose, 73, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at NE Alabama Regional Medical Center following a long illness. She was born in Mainz, Germany, the daughter of Amelia Beul and Christian Bayerle. She had lived in Alexandria for the past 30 years. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Roland A. Bellerose; her brother, Jergen Albert, of Mainz, Germany; three sons, Michael Bayerle, of Mainz, Germany, Remo Bellerose, of Weaver and Roy Bellerose, of Jacksonville; two daughters, Sylvia Reeves and Sandra Tolbert, both of Jacksonville; six grandchildren, Mindy Bellerose Nunn, Megan Bellerose, Brandon Willingham, Terry Tolbert, Faith Tolbert Moody and Lauryn Bellerose and nine great-grandchildren. A military wife, Mrs. Bellerose was the best mother any child could have and a friend to all. She had a pure heart and was a member of many charitable organizations. She enjoyed life and was an avid supporter of the animal rights organizations. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name at the League of Animal Welfare.
