The funeral service for Mrs. Ruth Comer Price Lovelidge, will be at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with her grandson, Dr. Ryan Price officiating. Interment will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Lovelidge passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 30, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Lovelidge was born in Eastaboga and lived most of her life in Anniston. She was also known as "Mother", "Grandmother", "Gran", and "Gigi". She is preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Susie Boyles Comer; brothers, Lamar Comer and his wife, Hilda, and David Comer and his wife, Bettie; nieces, Donna Comer and Rita Comer, and a nephew, Chuck Comer. Mrs. Lovelidge is survived by her husband of 33 years, who was also her loving caregiver, Edward J. Lovelidge; a daughter, LaNita Price Bennett (Stan), of Anniston; sons, Tom Price (Carla), of Choccolocco, and Ken Price (Dana) ,of Pelham; grandchildren, Ryan Price (Teresa), of Anniston, Lauren Price Goolsby (Andrew), of Beaumont, Texas, Nicholas Price, of Durham, N.C., Lindsay Price, of Minneapolis, Minn., and Jesse R. Price, of Pelham; great-grandchildren, Eleanor, Titus, and Sam Price, of Anniston, and Theodore Goolsby, of Beaumont, Texas; a sister, Frankie Comer, of Anniston; a special niece, Teresa Comer Wells (Wayne), of Anniston; a niece and nephews, Debbie O'Connell, Keith Comer, and Kevin Comer, all of Texas, and many cousins. Pallbearers will be Stan Bennett, Tom Price, Ken Price, Ryan Price, Nicholas Price, Lindsay Price, Jesse Price, and Andrew Goolsby. The family would like to thank the many people who sent 127 cards that were proudly displayed. Special thanks to Alana, Amber, Lindsay, and Michael, of AlaCare Hospice and doctors, Michael Gaines and Melissa Baird for their care and compassion.
