A memorial service for Ryan Douglas Wilson, 19, will be Saturday, May 9, 2015, at 12 noon at First Baptist Church of Jacksonville with Dr. Derek Staples and the Rev. Fred Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Ryan died Monday, May 6, 2015, at his residence. He is survived by his parents, Chris and Millie Wilson; his two brothers, Jacob and Jesse Wilson; his sister, Molly Wilson; his grandparents, Doug and Jo Jo Nelson and Barbara Wilson, all of Jacksonville; his Aunts Kristie and Lindey Nelson; other Uncles and Aunts, Eric and Becky Wilson, Chad Wilson, Jeremy and Jamie Wilson and cousins, Josh, Jaelyn, Matthew, Charlie Kate and Beckham. Ryan was a member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, a 2014 graduate of Jacksonville High School and completed his freshman year at Jacksonville State University. He was a Lifeguard at the Jacksonville Community Center for 2 years and an assistant swim coach for the Jacksonville Hurricanes Summer 2014. He was currently working as an assistant swim coach for the Anniston Aquatic Center's Barracudas. He had a love for working with children and helping with the Awanas at First Baptist Church of Jacksonville. He also had a strong work ethic and maintained many yards in Jacksonville. He had a heart for people. He was a special young man. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jimmy Wilson.
