Mrs. Sara Kate Rowland, 87, walked peacefully into Heaven on Wednesday March 2, 2016. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with Dr. Roland Brown officiating. Following the service, lunch will be provided at Golden Springs Baptist Church and all are welcome to attend. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Rowland is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Rowland; parents, Cargile and Nettie Mae Holton and brothers, DC Holton, Tom Holton, Clifton Holton and Draphus Holton. She is survived by her daughter, Jean Rannow (Bruce), of Anniston; grandchildren, Jonathan Rannow (Wanda), Timothy Rannow (Wendee) and Sara Tongsuvone (Chaisit), all of Anniston and Brian Bazzell (Jessica), of Gainesville, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Jacob Dasher, Emily Dasher, Thayer Bazzell and Brayden Bazzell; a brother, Rabon Holton, of Augusta, Ga. and eight nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rowland was born on October 13, 1928 in Soperton, Georgia. She was a member Golden Springs Baptist Church and the Grace Sunday School Class. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. She will be missed dearly by all but now she is happy and walking on the streets of gold.
