Sarah Ann Hanner, 78, passed away peacefully in Oxford on Saturday. Sarah Ann was born and raised near Ohatchee and graduated from Ohatchee High School. She was a lifelong member of Union Grove First Congregational Methodist Church where she served as Sunday School secretary for 42 years. She was one of three children born to the late Roy and Bertie Hanner. Her two brothers, Gene Hanner and Roy Leon Hanner also preceded her in death. Sarah Ann will forever be remembered by her nieces, Lindsay Hanner and Victoria Hanner Lambert (Patrick); her nephew, Treye Hanner (Jana); along with countless other friends and family who were blessed to know her. Sarah Ann touched the lives of many people with her generous spirit and sense of humor. Friends and family are invited to visit with the family at 1p.m. with funeral service following at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, at Union Grove FCM, with the Reverend John L. Ward officiating.
