Funeral service for Sarah E. Cole Parker Ford, 85, will be Wednesday, February 1, 2017, 10 a.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home. Jeremy Kughn will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Edgemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 5-7 at the funeral home. Mrs. Ford passed away on Sunday at her residence. Survivors include her daughters, Sherry Kughn, Brenda Brothers (Jeff), Carol Newborn (Lamar), Cindy Underwood (Bill); sister, Gay Nell Metzker; brothers, Harold Cole, Charles Cole, nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Lance Hendrick, Jonathan Kughn, Chris Brothers, Rowen Brothers, Ivan Rivera and Chad Elder. Honorary pallbearers will be Oxford Seniors Center Group. Mrs. Ford, an Anniston native, lived in Newell as a child. She worked at Kitchens Department Store for almost 25 years and became head of the lingerie department and a buyer. Mrs. Ford was a member of Parker Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert D Cole and Claudia Bowen Cole; husband, James Buford Parker Sr., husband, William Ford, and an infant son, James Buford Parker Jr. Miller Funeral Home 256-831-4611
