Heflin - Sarah Frances Kerr, 87, died Tuesday, May 07, 2013, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 09, 2013, at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight, May 8, 2013, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Dryden Funeral Home. Survivors include her husband, Winfred H. Kerr, of Heflin; daughters, Betty Hyatt, Heflin, Judy Masters, Piedmont; son, Ray Rollins, Carrollton, Ga.; sister, Areana Nappier, Heflin; brother, Ulmer McCareeth, Oxford; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; caregiver, Lillie Mae Bell. Pallbearers will be Mark Hyatt, Heath Pearson, Kenneth Rollins, Matt Rollins, Danny Nappier, Ricky Nappier. Honorary pallbearers are Kerry Poland, Harold Barker, and Jerry Rollins. Sarah loved working in the yard with her flowers. She made beautiful quilts for her family, and canned all the vegetables she could. She was known for her homemade jellies.
