Funeral service for Sarah Louise Canada, 69, will be today, February 11, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Midway Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Otis Graves officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. before the funeral. Ms. Canada died February 9, 2014 at her residence. She was a native of Calhoun County but a resident of Talladega. She attended First Assembly of God of Talladega and was a mail handler for the US Postal Service. She is preceded in death by first husband, James House and second husband, Jimmy Canada; one sister, Frances Butts and one brother, J.W. Webb. She is survived by two sons, Tommy Canada, of Lincoln and Michael House, of Eastaboga; two daughters, Sam Hollingsworth, of Lincoln and Sonja Whitten, of Land-o-Lakes; three brothers, Joe Webb, of Weaver, Charles Webb, of Alexandria, Kenny Webb, of Ohatchee; two sisters, Nancy Harness, of Alexandria and Ann Brown, of White Plains; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Midway Memory Gardens Funeral Home will direct the service.
