A celebration of life will be held for Scott O'Hara Radney, 62, will be Friday, October 2, 2015, 11 a.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home. The Rev. Greg Ford and The Rev. John White will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends today from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. He received his divine healing, on September 29, 2015. The Lord told him he had fought a good fight, he kept the faith and it was time to come home. He fought the battle with courage and dignity and was admired by all that knew him. He was a loving Husband, Dad and Pappy. He is survived by his wife, Caffey Johnston Radney, of Oxford, two sons; Todd Radney (Christy), of Oxford, Tim Radney (Theresa), of Columbus, Ga.; his grandchildren was his life and joy, Kaylee & Trinity Radney, of Oxford, Riley, Jordan and Grace Radney, of Columbus, Ga., Austin Anderson and Ayden Davis, of Bowdon, Ga; numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was a long time employee of Alabama Power and attended Meadowbrook Baptist Church, Oxford, Ala. A native of Randolph County, he graduated from Handley High School and attended Southern Union. Pallbearers will be Will Davis, Jack Stephens, Randy Maddox, Brandon Ashworth, Tim Landers, Shane Edwards, Charles Pierce and Justin Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Alabama Power Company. A special thank you to Doug Ford and the employees of Alabama Power, may God Bless each of you for your help and assistance with our needs. Thanks also goes to Alacare, Jada and Tamra. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Anderson Radney Sr., of Ronake; his mother, Lydia O'Hara Radney, of Roanoke and his brother William Anderson Radney Jr., of Birmingham.
