Funeral service for Sebastian Floyd "Sub", 48, will be on Saturday, December 13, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. at the Golden Springs Baptist Church where the Rev. Roland Cook is pastor and the Rev. Wilbert Floyd as eulogist. Interment with military honors will follow in Hall Grove Church Cemetery in Munford. Mr. Floyd remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to his services. Mr. Floyd passed away on December 9, 2014 at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital. Awake will be this evening 6-8 p.m. at the Russell H. Williams Memorial Chapel. Mr. Floyd graduated from Arcadia High School 1984 in Virginia, he served in the United States Army, he was employed with AKAL Security as a Court Security Officer, he was a Deputy US Marshal. He was a member of Washington Heights Baptist Church and served as a Deacon, Choir member, and Sunday School Teacher. Sebastian coached at Anniston High School 9th grade basketball, also Varsity basketball and Track and Field at The Donoho School. He also coached little league at Carver and South Highland Community Center for over 15 years. He was founder, and president of the Men of Legacy. Survivors include his wife, Vikki Floyd, of Anniston; his children, Quavion Floyd, Quinton Floyd, of Anniston, and Quintera, of Lafayette, La.; grandchildren, Kristen, Everette and Rueben; his parents, Esther Floyd, of Parksley, Va. and Clarence (Sandy) Chandler, of Chesapeake, Va.; parent in-laws, Warren (Ann) Adams, of Anniston; his siblings, Carlos Floyd, Titus Floyd, Breanna Chandler, Latanya Chandler, all of Virginia and Lisa West, of Philadelphia, Pa.; a host of other relatives and friends.
