- A Funeral Mass for Mrs. Sharon A. Rauch, 67, of Anniston, will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 9, 2015, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Robert Sullivan and Father Bryan Lowe officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 5 - 7 p.m. and also for one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. Mrs. Rauch passed away on February 5, 2015. Mrs. Rauch was a native of Cincinnati, Ohio and graduated with a BS Degree from the College of Mount St. Joseph. She went on to receive her Master's Degree in Education from Jacksonville State University. She taught for 30 years, with the last 24 years at The Donoho School, where she cured countless cases of hiccups. She served her church as choir director for many years and in January 2015, Sacred Heart dedicated the choir loft in her name. She was a multitalented seamstress. In her community, she volunteered with various organizations. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Mrs. Rauch is survived by her husband, Jack Rauch, of Anniston; two daughters, Stephanie Patterson and her husband, Tom, of Hopewell, N.J. and Julie Feltman and her husband, Scotty, of Birmingham; three sons, Brian Rauch and his wife, Sarah Christen, of Enterprise, John David Rauch, of Atlanta and Andrew Rauch, of Atlanta; seven grandchildren, Madelyn Patterson, Helen Catherine Rauch, Bennett Patterson, Anne Marie Rauch, Emily Patterson, Jackson Rauch and Samuel Feltman; two sisters, Diane Sorgs and her husband, Harry, of Hilton Head, S.C. and Jane Kline and her husband, Mike, of Anniston; a brother, Bob Shinkle and his wife, Mary, of Cincinnati, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Meals on Wheels program of Interfaith Ministries, P.O.
