Funeral service for Mrs. Shelby Jean Cochran Bonds, 76, will be Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Community Congregational Holiness Church with the Rev. Johnny Bonds officiating. Burial will be in Community Congregational Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church today from 6-8 p.m. Mrs. Bonds went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at her residence. She is survived by her husband, Philip H. Bonds; four sons, Robin Bonds, Johnny (Sandy) Bonds, David Bonds and Russell (Dana) Bonds; 11 grandchildren, Tiffany Bonds, Keisha Monroe, Matthew Bonds, Amanda Bonds, Maranda Bonds, Jesse Cameron, Kristen Bonds, Kelsea Bonds, Shannon Bonds, Evan Bonds and Payton Bonds; 12 great grandchildren; one sister, Mary (Wilson) Smith; one brother, Kenneth (Clara) Cochran. Pallbearers will be Jesse Cameron, Shannon Bonds, Evan Bonds, Matthew Bonds, Kyle Thrasher and Jimmy Angle. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lula Cochran; three brothers, Bud, John Melvin and James Cochran. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and she loved being surrounded by her family. Lending a helping hand was simply her nature and she loved helping those who were down and out. Mrs. Bonds had a great love for her Lord and Savior and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Online condolences to the family at: K.L.
