A funeral service will be held for Mrs. Sheree Brown Odom, 56, Friday, January 13, 2017, at K. L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center at 2 p.m. A visitation will be held at the funeral home chapel on Friday, January 13, 2017, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Mrs. Odom passed away on January 9, 2017 after a battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Austin Odom; her daughter, Shannon Eubanks; her grandchildren, Matthew Ryan Eubanks and Breanna Lynn Eubanks; her mother, Margaret McElwee; her sister, Gwen Brown; several nieces and nephews. Sheree moved to Calhoun County as a child. She went to Cedar Springs Elementary School and graduated from Jacksonville High School. She earned her Associates Degree in Business at Gadsden Community College. She worked several jobs before finding her calling at Walmart, where she worked for almost two decades. Sheree was an adamant Alabama fan, and knew every player by name and their statistics. Her family and friends enjoyed watching her watch football because she was so animated. She had a huge heart and was always doing things for other people and always going the extra mile. She was preceded in death by her father, Wallace Brown; her brother, Phillip Brown, and her son-in-law, Matthew Eubanks. Online condolences to the family at K.L.
