The funeral service for Mrs. Sherron McCullars Pritchett, 73, will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with Dr. Mack Amis officiating. Music will be provided by Mrs. Sandy Triplett and Mrs. Trixie Sneed. Burial will follow in Crook Cemetery in Ohatchee. The family will receive friends from Noon until the service hour on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Pritchett passed away on February 15, 2016 at Jacksonville Health and Rehabilitation. Mrs. Pritchett's church membership was at Parker Memorial Baptist Church where she had been a member and served over forty years. The order of her priorities were: her faith, her family, and her work. As a long time educator, Mrs. Pritchett's passion was being an elementary school teacher and teaching her students to read. She taught in Charlotte, N.C.; however, after moving back to Alabama, Mrs. Pritchett taught at The Donoho School and in the Calhoun County System. While her hobbies were raising and riding horses at her family's farm, Quail Run, her biggest enjoyment was being with her family and friends. Mrs. Pritchett is preceded in death by her parents, Hurshel "Hut" McCullars and Dorothy Ann Wagnon McCullars. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Dick Pritchett; a son, Brad Pritchett and his wife, Allison; and grandchildren, Morgan and Beckett Pritchett. Pallbearers will be Ray Harris, Dick Anderson, Ron Miller, David Hall, Joey McCullars and Donnie Vining. Honorary pallbearers will be the Anchor Sunday School Class from Parker Memorial Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Boys and Girls Club of East Central Alabama, PO Box 2347, Anniston, AL 36202. The Pritchett family would like to thank Comfort Care Hospice, Dr. Jim Yates and the nurses and staff of Jacksonville Health and Rehabilitation Center, Sherry Brown, the RMC Alzheimer's Support Group, and Donnie and Patsy Vining for their loving care and support during Mrs. Pritchett's illness. Online condolences may be made to the family at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel 620 Golden Springs Road Anniston, AL 36207 (256) 231-2334
