Funeral service for Shirley Ann Gooden Woods, 61, will be on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Kelly Springs Baptist Church, Munford where the Rev. L.L. Jacobs, pastor and the Rev. Roger Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in the Kelly Springs Church Cemetery. Mrs. Woods died on March 16, 2014 at UAB Hospital, Birmingham. Public visitation is today noon until 6 p.m. Mrs. Woods remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to her service. She graduated from Munford High School in 1970. Survivors include her mother, Ella Pearl Gooden; her daughters, Shrene (David III) Funderburg, April (Derric) Black, Misty (Jeremy) Whitfield, all of Lincoln; siblings, Verdell (James) McKinney, Ricky (Linda) Gooden, all of Munford, Carol Bell, of Akron, OH, Sabrina (Racheau) Libscomb, of Balitimore, Md. and General (Cynthia) Gooden Jr., of Lawton, Okla.; grandchildren, Desmond Woods, Darrian Warren, Faith Funderburg, David Funderburg IV, Kya Black, Xzavior Black, Bryson Black, Milton Woods, Jeremiah Whitfield, Samiya Whitfield; in-laws, Carolyn (Houston) Jackson, Claudette (Clayton) Chapman, Fred Woods, Denver (Pat) Woods, Jr., Stevie (Judy) Woods, Sidney (Millicent) Woods; other relatives and friends.
