Funeral service for Shirley Jean Smith Kelley, 76, of Blue Mountain, will be 2 p.m., Sunday, February 2, 2014, at Gray Brown-Service with the Rev. Bryain Watts officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Kelley received her angel wings on Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at RMC. Mrs. Kelley is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, William H. "Bill" Chappell; daughter, Connie Kelley Hammonds (Gene), of Jacksonville; granddaughter, Misty Miller, of Hartselle; great- grandchildren, Cheyenne Dothard and Caleb Robertson; sister, Edna Wildman (Tommy), of Anniston; several nieces and nephews and special caretakers, Linda Harmon and Jill Hogue. Mrs. Kelley is preceded in death by her daughter, Jane Marie Kelley; son, Gary Ritchell Kelley and parents, Comer and Rena Smith. Mrs. Kelley was a lifelong resident of Anniston. She was a member of the Anniston Moose Lodge, as well as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She held various offices throughout her time as a member.
