Funeral service for Shirley Louise "Lou" Kirby Persons, 53, will be on April 19, 2015, at 3 p.m. at Mt. Ararat CME Church with the Rev. Willis officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Ararat Church Cemetery. Mrs. Persons's remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to her service. Mrs. Persons passed away on April 13, 2015 at UAB, Birmingham. Survivors include her husband, Lorenzo "Lo" Persons, of Anniston; children, Sandgria (Reginald) Kirby, Rebecca Kirby, Rodrequiz Kirby and Alexis Persons, all of Anniston; grandchildren, Tamia Morris, Bobby Reid, Amari Kirby, Zahniyah Kirby, I'Kyra Kirby and Tanasia Kirby; step-father, John Smith; siblings, Evelyn Smith, Mary Edmondson, Jacqueline Hanks, Alice Faye Edmondson, Shirley Collins, Alisa Marchman, Alberta Bell, Billie (Anterio) Turner, Angela (Alton) Robbins, Christina Jordan, Michael Edmondson, James (Sara) Collins, Andre Collins and James Edmondson, all of Anniston; father-in-law, Cefus Persons; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mike "Buck" Edmondson and Stella Kirby Remson, also, Lorene Teague Brown, Kimanti Teague, Fredrick Kirby, Tanjianna Teague, Robert Kirby and Louise Doss.
