Memorial service for Stephen R. Coogler, 60, will be Sunday, November 15, 2015, at 3 p.m. at McCoy Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert L. Hurst and the Rev. Debbie J. Hitchcock officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Mr. Coogler passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015, at Nolan Hospital in Anniston. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Coogler; three sons, Nick Coogler, Brock Coogler (Kristy) and Matthew Moore; two daughters, Renee Moore and Tabitha Moore; five grandchildren, Will Deason, Hayden Lewis, Kinsley Coogler, Ainsley Coogler and Breanna Price; sister, Jan Floyd (David); brother, Gus Coogler (Pam) and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Coogler was a native of Piedmont and a resident of Oxford. He was a graduate of Piedmont High School and a member of Carpenter United Methodist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and loved singing for the Lord. He was always upbeat and had a sparkle in his eyes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Gladys Coogler.
