Obituary

Funeral services for Stu Everett, 68, will be at 2 p.m. today at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs. Inurnment will be at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. The family received friends on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Everett passed away on February 10, 2014 at NE Alabama Regional Medical Center. Mr. Everett served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Vietnam War. He had retired after 30 years with Honda of America Manufacturing in Ohio and Alabama. Mr. Everett is preceded in death by his parents, Frederick Everett and Geraldine Hepler Everett and a sister, Marti. Mr. Everett is survived by his wife, Wendy Everett, of Oxford; the boys, Dude and Buddy; his step-children, Michelle Arvin, her husband, James, and their children, Liriel and Selene, of Cheney, Wash. and Jonathan Monk, his wife, Christine and their son, Alexander, of Cambridge, Ontario, Canada; his brothers, Thom and Wil Everett, both of DeBary, Fla. and a sister Sharon.
