Sue Ingram Walker passed away Saturday June 3, 2017 on Lookout Mountain outside Chattanooga, Tenn. Sue was always one to be early. After several years of missing her anniversary with her late husband, Clyde, she was not going to miss another one which is next week. She was born on December 12, 1930 to Chester and Louise Ingram and was the big sister to Anne and Bill. Before retiring and moving back to Lineville, Sue and Clyde lived in Atlanta where she was the Executive Assistant at Georgia Highway Express, later known as Transus trucking company for almost 30 years. She was affectionately and respectfully known as "Boss Sue" by her coworkers and lovingly by her family. In Atlanta, Sue was an avid bowler and loved to read the AJC newspaper and her hometown paper. She was the past president of the South Clayton Shrine Club Claytonettes. In Lineville, she nobly took care of and served her family and delighted in spending time with her grandchildren and was a member of the Barfield Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters, Cynthia Denise Walker, of Lineville, and Suzanne (Glenn) Morris, of Chattanooga; brother, Bill (Nancy) Ingram, of Guntersville; sister, Anne Poole, of Barfield; and grandchildren, Emma Morris and Sydney Morris, both of Chattanooga. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Barfield Baptist Church with Pastor John Howell and Pastor Wayne Stevens officiating. Sue will lie in state from 12-2 p.m. Wednesday at Barfield Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Lineville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. today at Benefield Funeral Home, Lineville. Pallbearers will be Joel Poole, Carson Poole, Glenn Morris, Ben Nelson, Randy Nelson and Brian Nelson.
