Funeral service for Mrs. Susan Bridie Williams Davis, 95, were held on Monday, December 14, 2015 in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home. The family received friends on Sunday, December 13, 2015. Mrs. Davis was laid to rest after her service at Forestlawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Davis passed away on December 12, 2015 at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her children, Linda Joyce Nowland, Jackie Lee Williams, Wanda Smith (Jim) and Vickie Thomas(Charles); grandchildren, Kim Williams, Sherry Robinson, John Mosher, Chris Williams, Wendy Thomas, Craig Thomas; great-grandchildren, Lexie Grace Thomas, Khloe Faith Thomas, Corey Robinson, Jonathan Adams, Jacob Mosher and Justin Mosher. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Davis; a son, Terry Williams; parents, Ollie and Viola Smith. Pallbearers were John Mosher, Chris Williams, Craig Thomas, Jonathan Adams, Corey Robinson, and Jacob Mosher. Mrs. Davis was a member of First Baptist Church of Saks and was a part of the Senior Ladies Sunday School Class. Mrs. Davis loved quilting, sewing and cooking meals for her family. She was loved by many and cared for deeply by her many friends. Mrs. Davis enjoyed eating at Olive Garden every Friday. She was even "Momma" to so many of the waitresses there. The manager, Dave Legg, went above and beyond to make sure she had her weekly Olive Garden meal by bringing her food to the hospital and checking in on her when she did not come in on Friday's. Mrs. Davis was a wonderful and loving mother to her children and grandchildren.
