A Celebration of life service for Suzanne S. Michelson, 49, will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016, at 1 p.m. at the First Christian Church of Anniston with Dr. Derek Staples officiating. The family will host a reception at the church immediately following the service. Mrs. Michelson died Saturday, April 30, 2016. She is survived by her husband, Michael L. Michelson, of Jacksonville; one son, Christian Alexander Spiceland, of Jacksonville; her mother, Dr. Bobbie Krapels, of Germantown, Tenn.; two brothers, Rick Krapels, of Arlington, Tenn. and Dr. Keith (Helen) Krapels, of Bethesda, Md.; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Michelson graduated from high school in 1984 in Germantown, Tenn. Upon graduation she attended Memphis State University and received her BA in Psychology in 1988 and her Masters in Library Science from the University of Memphis in 1992. Mrs. Michelson was a member of the First Christian Church in Anniston. She was an active runner, involved in many clubs and organizations including the Anniston Runner's Club, Marathon Maniacs, Half Fanatics, Run it Fast and the 50 States Club. Mrs. Michelson was currently employed with Constantine Elementary School. She has been the librarian there since 2003 and loved her job dearly. Mrs. Michelson married her loving and devoted husband, Michael Michelson, on February 15, 2014. Together they enjoyed each others company and making memories that will forever be cherished. Mrs. Michelson was a friend to all who knew her and will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her father, Neil Krapels.
