Sybil Cochran, 90, died Thursday, April 14, 2016, at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 17, 2016, at New Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Garner, the Rev. David Davis and the Rev. Eric Snider officiating. Burial will follow in New Harmony Cemetery. Visitation will be today, April 16, 2016, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include her daughters, Carol (Bob) Howle and Sandra Swafford, both of Heflin; son, Charlie (Peggy) Cochran, of Heflin; sisters, Mary Jo Brown and Helen Brown, both of Heflin; grandchildren, Kim Bryant, Scotty Swafford, Mark Howle, Corey Cochran, Jon Swafford and Clint Cochran; ten great- grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Scotty Swafford, Mark Howle, Corey Cochran, Jon Swafford, Clint Cochran, Canaan Howle, Ethan Howle and Brock Swafford. Honorary Pallbearers are Harold Barker, Jimmy Bragg and Buddy Gaines. Sybil was a native and lifelong resident of Cleburne County and a member of New Harmony Baptist Church. Sybil was employed at Piggly Wiggly in Heflin for 39 years and was also employed at The Bell Ringer Florist in Heflin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garvis Cochran; son, Frank Cochran; sister, Alberta Skinner and brother William Earl Lumpkin.
