Funeral service for Tera L. Jones McGill, 102, will be Friday, March 10, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Anniston Funeral Services Outreach Ministry in the Russell L. Williams Memorial Chapel with Brother Jesse Benn officiating. Interment will follow in Forestlawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. McGill departed her earthly vessel on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Diversicare Health Center in Oxford. In 2004, Mrs. McGill was one of three surviving students of the Weaver School for Colored Children and to date, she was the lone survivor of the school in Weaver. Survivors include her daughter, Patricia J. Adebisi; her son-in-law, Robert F. Walker; adopted daughters, Lois Bynum and Daisy Russell; special niece, Bessie Moore; adopted grandchildren, Marvalene F. Elston, Forrest Carr; siblings, Isaiah Parker and Minnie Nolen (Daniel) other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Rev. J.L. and Mary Jones and seven siblings.
