Terry Anthony Lambert, 58, returned to his heavenly home on January 6, 2016 after a vallant battle with cancer. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimatly gave him peace. Terry was born to loving parents, Billy Hugh Lambert and Ernestine Chandler Lambert on September 6, 1957. Terry's only sibling, Todd Chandler Lambert (Jay Colucci), were distant in age (13 years between them) but close in heart. Over the past several months they grew even closer as Todd took on the role of coach and cheerleader as Terry battled the dreaded disease. Terry was blessed with a large and loving family. He married his high school sweetheart, Lucretia Bowen Lambert on August 19, 1978 in Heflin, Alabama. Terry helped raise his three sons, Patrick Anthony Lambert (Victoria), Blakeley Hugh Lambert (Katie) and Tyler Scott Lambert (Chrissie) with patience, discipline and humility. He taught them their strong work ethic and loved family vacations to the mountains with them. Terry's life was made very exciting when he was joined by seven grandchildren, Hanner (eight), Brantley (six), Austin Klay (Bubba, four) Townsend (three), Jasper (two), Elliston (one) and Elle Marie (nine months). Terry was a Sales Manager at Buster Miles Automobile Dealership in Heflin, Alabama and had worked in the automobile business since graduating from Cleburne County High School in 1975. Terry was a salesman at heart. He was kind, personable, persuasive and always ready to make a deal. He is dearly missed by his loving work family at Buster Miles who are celebrating the fact that he is now at peace with his creator. Terry's family will receive friends on today January 8, 2016, at 6 p.m. at Dryden Funeral Home in Heflin. A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation in the chapel at 7 p.m. with Terry's beloved paster, Kenny Nix officiating. Internment will be private. The family gratefully declines flowers but would be so thankful for donations to Life Choice Hospice, 4455 Hwy 431, Roanoke, AL 36274.
