Funeral service for Mr. Terry E. Thrash, 67, will be Friday, October 24, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. David Screws officiating with burial following at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 11:30 a.m. to service time at the Funeral Home. Mr. Thrash passed away October 22, 2014 at his residence in Anniston surrounded by family. Mr. Thrash is survived by his wife, Sue H. Thrash; daughters, Candi T. Key and Amy T. (Robert) McQueen; brother, Gary Thrash; grandchildren, Hannah Key, Austin McQueen, MacKenzie Key, Tanner McQueen and Derek Key; nephews, Jonathan Screws, Keith Screws, and Scott Thrash; niece, Brandy Clark. Mr. Thrash was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Thrash; mother, Mary F. Thrash and brother, Michael Thrash. Pallbearers will be Jerry Mullinax, Robert McQueen, Kevin Thrash, Scott Thrash, Jonathan Screws and Larry Amerson. Mr. Thrash was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County; he was retired from AAD after 35 years. Mr. Thrash served in the U.S. Air Force; he attended Wellborn High School and Gadsden State Community College and was a member of Wellborn Christian Church.
