A Memorial service for Mr. Terry Lee Butterworth, 60, of Oxford, will be at 6 p.m. on Friday, December 12, 2014 at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with Reverend Scott Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Butterworth passed away on December 9, 2014 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham. Terry loved riding horses and camping with his son and a large group of friends. He was always talking and making everyone laugh that he came in contact with. He was a bus driver for Oxford Middle School and was a former personnel director/human resources for Davis Oil Company. Terry was also a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Terry is preceded in death by his parents, Victor R.T. Butterworth and Dorothy Mae Estes Butterworth. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Shannon Butterworth; his son, Jeffrey Scott Butterworth; his sisters, Melda Matson and her husband, Tommy, and Sharon Pettus and her husband, Glen; a brother, Buddy Butterworth; his parents-in-law, Wesley and Opal Brechbiel; sisters-in-law, Sherri Conner and her husband, Mitch, and Alyce Sewell and her husband, Bryan; nieces, Mindy Pettus, Kendra Conner, Brittany Conner, Samantha Sewell, and Haven Smith; and nephews, Justin Smith, Brody Smith, and Kane Smith.
